It’s easy to consider the sprawling metro area of Atlanta, Georgia, as a massive city. After all, the area is home to more than five million people. However, metro Atlanta is made up of numerous smaller communities. East Point, Georgia, is one of these communities, and where Parklane Elementary School is located.

About Parklane Elementary
Parklane has been a PBIS school for more than eight years and has been a PBIS Rewards school for three. The school has approximately 320 students, making it feel very family-oriented. We sat down for a chat with three of Parklane’s PBIS team members to talk about the school’s success with PBIS.

Even during the lockdowns that happened at the beginning of the Covid pandemic, Parklane was able to maintain a positive atmosphere. They credit PBIS Rewards for this positivity, as they had begun using the software to digitally manage their initiative well ahead of the pandemic. Using PBIS Rewards enabled the school to continue to recognize students and award points in a virtual atmosphere.
