Exciting news! PBIS Rewards has added some exciting new features to our software, just in time for the 2024-25 school year! As always, we listen to customer requests to make PBIS Rewards as useful as possible. This release incorporates two of our most-requested features: hall pass tracking and absent tracking.
Hall Pass Tracking
Want to keep track of who’s out of the classroom on a hall pass and for how long? Then you’ll love our Hall Pass Tracking feature! Anyone on staff can issue a hall pass for a student and the software tracks the hall pass schoolwide. Mark students on or off a hall pass from multiple places within PBIS Rewards, including the home page, within a group, or an individual student page. Issue a hall pass through a quick scan or from the group page on the mobile app. Staff can track how long a student has been on a hall pass by searching their name, selecting them in a group, or scanning their badge.
Absent Tracking
Know at a glance which students are absent from school – a game-changer for tracking absences schoolwide. Admin or staff can mark a student as absent on the Students page, and that student will show as absent schoolwide. Absent students can be marked as present from the home page, group page, and on the mobile app. From the Students page, admin and staff can use the Hall Pass and Absent filters to determine which students are not in the building or not in their classrooms. In addition to understanding where students are, tracking their location and whereabouts is important in a drill or emergency.
Tracking Trends With Reporting
Both of these features provide an additional measurement to assess trends in your PBIS initiative. Admins can view Hall Pass and Absent reports in the Tools tab of the Reports page, which tracks the number of hall passes or absences per student. Admins can see the Hall Pass and Absent report in the Tools tab of the Reports page. Those reports include data on the number and duration of hall passes per student as well as absences per student. Data can be sorted by grades, groups, or individual students and admins can drill down into this data to see individual instances. Students with a high frequency of hall passes or absences are often in danger of falling behind. These features allow schools to identify students who would benefit from additional support and see where instructional time is being lost.
Revamped Teacher Rewards
At the beginning of 2024, PBIS Rewards debuted a revamped version of Teacher Rewards. Many schools are already using this updated version, and as part of this year’s end-of-year processing, all schools will be migrated to the new Teacher Rewards. The updated version is easier for admins to manage and includes a simpler, easier-to-understand interface for staff members. Get ready to improve staff culture, job satisfaction, and teacher retention rates with the teacher recognition system within PBIS Rewards!
