In late 2022, PBIS Rewards joined Navigate360, the nation’s premier provider of holistic solutions for school safety and student wellness. Together, we’re continually working to better meet the needs of our schools and districts. We are excited to share our latest release and the completion of phase one integration between PBIS Rewards Behavior Referral System (BRS) and Navigate360’s Behavior Intervention & Restorative Practices offering.
This milestone reinforces our shared commitment to helping schools address safety and student wellness through a more seamless and holistic approach allowing educators and behavioral intervention staff to better serve the growing needs of student mental health and behavioral support.
Boosting the Power of PBIS Rewards
Teachers are increasingly tasked with addressing learning loss while at the same time managing disruptive and challenging behavior. Many times, one issue is addressed at the expense of another, which often results in poor performance across the board. Students experiencing an environment filled with disruptive and concerning behavior cannot make any significant progress on learning loss. Conversely, an intense focus on recovering from learning loss leaves teachers very little time to address behavioral issues.
PBIS Rewards helps schools address behavior issues quickly and easily, giving precious teaching time back to educators in the classroom. Behavior Intervention & Restorative Practices is an engaging, fully digital behavior intervention curriculum. Its scaffolded lessons give schools and teachers an effective way to reach out and help students who are struggling behaviorally. Pairing PBIS Rewards with Behavior Intervention & Restorative Practices enables schools to more fully address behavioral needs and provides a way to turn discipline into a learning opportunity.
What You Need to Know
Our latest release, PBIS Rewards’ Release 10.0, provides schools using the Behavior Referral System (BRS) feature with additional options to address behavior in the wake of a referral. The intervention lessons display as a possible administrative action or response on the major referral form within BRS. The lessons are based on the student’s grade level and the problem behavior(s) associated with the referral. This feature can be activated on the Admin Settings page under the BRS/Referrals tab. Please note that the system does not auto-assign lessons in the Behavior Intervention & Restorative Practices program. For a look at how this works, check out the video:
Other Cool Stuff
Additional updates in this release include:
- Users can select the “Random” button on the Groups page multiple times without having to close the window and reopen it.
- Minor referrals have a “Back To Group” button and major referrals will automatically send you back to your group after submission of the form.
- Student App updates that include the ability to favorite store items, visibility of all point comments, in-app indicators to show the addition of new data, and a patch to Google SSO.
This is very exciting news for our customers! The addition of Navigate360’s Behavior Intervention & Restorative Practices lessons within BRS has the power to help improve behavior in your school.
