2. PBIS Rewards Use of Personal Information
PBIS Rewards collects and uses personal, and sometimes sensitive, information in a manner that is reasonable, necessary, and proportional to our needs in providing our platform and related services to your School/School District, and nothing more. Your School/School District has consented to the collection of PI, provided notice of its collection, and provided the PI we collect so we can deliver the PBIS Rewards platform and service to your child and child’s school.
Data is deleted from our primary systems on the Expiration of Service Date. Data may be retained in our archives for 60 days past the Expiration of Service Date.
We use your child’s personal information internally so that they can see their own progress with your School/School District’s PBIS initiatives. We use device ID information internally to help protect your child’s use of the services within the app. We also provide reports to the School/School District so that they can see your child’s progress.
In order to provide our platform and services we utilize a badge vendor, K-12 Print, if a school purchases PBIS Rewards Print ID Cards. We share the categories of personally identifying information listed above with K-12 Print for this purpose. Our agreement with K12 Print includes our Terms of Service that we have with our Schools/School District, and they live up to the same student data privacy provisions as PBIS Rewards. K12 Print deletes the student data after fulfilling an order. We create the card print images and securely transfer the entire print image to K12 Print so that they print the ID Cards.
3. Security of Personal Information
PBIS Rewards will store and process data in accordance with industry best practices. This includes appropriate administrative, physical, and technical safeguards and procedures to secure data from unauthorized access, disclosure, and use.
4. Disclosure of Personal Information
Consumers have the right to request what, where from, and why we collect personal information. They also have the right to request to whom PBIS Rewards discloses personal information. If your School/School District purchases ID cards, it authorizes our disclosure of the personal information to our vendor so the ID Cards may be printed. The School/School District agrees that it has the right to consent to this collection and limited use of personal information.
5. Correction & Deletion of Personal Information
Consumers have the right to request the correction or deletion of personal information through submitting a Verified Consumer Request (VCR). A consumer’s request for the deletion of their personal information, if processed, would prevent them from being able to participate in the PBIS Rewards experience.
6. Selling or Sharing of Personal Information
PBIS Rewards never, under any circumstances, sells a consumer’s personal information. We also never share personal information with third parties.
7. Verified Consumer Requests
Verified Consumer Requests (VCR) can be used to inform PBIS Rewards of a consumer’s desire to have a copy of their personal information that is collected and disclosed, or to inform of their desire to have their personal information corrected or deleted. PBIS Rewards offers two methods for a California consumer, or parent/guardian of California consumer, to submit a VCR. First, you can navigate to this CCPA Notice on our website and find a VCR Form here. Second, a consumer may call our toll-free number at 1-866-744-0174 to submit a request. After a VCR is received, PBIS Rewards will work with the School/School District to verify the identity of the person requesting the VCR, and if the request is confirmed, PBIS Rewards will complete the request. PBIS Rewards has trained individuals to process VCRs and maintains a record of the VCRs it receives in compliance with CCPA regulations. Consumers are never discriminated against for exercising their rights under the CCPA.
