There is nothing quite like collaboration with fellow educators.
The willingness to share ideas, talk over challenges, and encourage one another is why the teaching profession is so special. Once upon a time, this collaboration could only take place locally, in small groups or at a conference or professional development session. Now, however, technology has made connecting with fellow educators as close as your laptop or smartphone.
Social media has enabled educators to meet up at convenient times and locations for the free exchange of ideas. One of the most popular forums is Twitter, which hosts a wide variety of chats especially for educators. From special education to administration to specific grade levels, chances are you’ll find other educators who share the same passions and challenges as you do.
